A warm St Oswald’s welcome
St Oswald’s Church of England Primary School has been at the heart of our community for very many years, yet our passion for providing the very best education, underpinned by a strong Christian ethos, remains undiminished.
We seek not only to support our children to achieve outstanding academic standards but also to encourage strong personal development so that they have the skills, characteristics and capability to make the most of their learning both here and in the wider world. In all we do we work towards enabling the children to become rounded, positive members of today’s world, with the self belief, confidence and determination to make their unique contribution to our community and beyond.

What others say
St Oswald’s is a warm, friendly, positive place. There is always somebody to talk to and play with. The teachers make the lessons fun and will always help you when you are stuck.Laurel, Year 5 student
We're so glad we chose St Oswald's for our children. With the school’s guidance we can see their confidence and abilities developing, and with every passing year, each member of staff becomes an important part in their development. St Oswald's is instilling a love of learning into our children and it is wonderful to watch them grow.Sam Allen, Year 3 & Year 6 student parent
St Oswald's has given both my children a great start to their education. They have both been inspired to learn through the teaching, experiences and opportunities offered to them during their time at the school.Sally Barrat, Year 5 student parent
We are really happy with the quality of teaching at St Oswald’s, and find the wider school community to be very friendly and supportive. We found St Oswald’s to be well organised and the principles that the school strives towards are principles we felt are important to us as a family.Cheryl Duerden, Year 1 and Year 6 student parent
Please come to St Oswald’s because everyone is kind and respectful and we all look out for each other.Phoebe, Year 2 student
