Extra-curricular Activities
We have an extensive extra curricular programme each year that include physical/sporting activities, music, drama, dance and languages.
Extra-curricular activities boosts children’s confidence to interact socially with others, it extends their social networks and provides them with new skills and abilities. Above all, they offer an important space to have fun and relax away from their daily studies.

El Club Espanol Spanish Club
Young children make amazing progress with a new language. They mimic what they hear, and are very good at it! They are highly sensitive to slight differences in tone and sound. Their ears are well attuned to identifying & copying the tricky sounds which adults & even adolescents find tough to capture.
LCF school lessons are short and focused whole-class lessons with engaging and stimulating tasks. They contain opportunities for cross-curricular activities, with regular monitoring and assessment of progress.

Codswallop Choir
Music Box – Inspiring Voices Singing School is led by professional singer Melody Reed. She includes fun vocal warm ups, vocal techniques and uplifting songs into her lessons. The choir has the fun factor and really helps build children’s confidence when they are performing – there is always something new and exciting to look forward to! At St Oswald’s, Melody will encourage the children to experiment with songwriting and will be entered into different singing competitions and performance opportunities. If you wish, there is also the opportunity for your child to take singing exams with Trinity Rock and Pop Vocals.

Guiseley Community Football Club
The club is run by Dan Whiteley and Marcus Wardell (employee of Guiseley Community Foundation). Sessions focus on recreational play, but also help improve fundamental football skills.

British Sign Language Club
This after school club is not just about learning, it’s about building connections, fostering inclusivity and having a ton of fun along the way! Join us for a memorable journey into the rich and expressive world of sign language! The club is run by Jorja Harris who holds Level 4 Qualification in British Sign Language. Jorja is completely deaf in her left ear and has partial hearing in her right ear.
