Y1 in Forest School
This term, our Year 1 students have been having a fantastic time at Forest School, diving into the wonders of nature and celebrating the beauty of autumn. Each session has been packed with activities that not only spark creativity but also foster teamwork and a love for the outdoors.
Autumn Spirit in Full Swing
As the leaves began to change, our children embraced the season with some autumn-themed crafts. One of their favourite activities was printing pumpkins using apples! In addition to pumpkin printing, our little explorers have enjoyed rolling conkers—an exciting way to connect with nature and learn about these fascinating seeds. The children delighted in observing the conkers, discussing their shiny shells and what they might find inside.
Muddy Delights in the Kitchen
Recently, we were thrilled to receive some old trays from the kitchen, which have become a fantastic addition to our mud kitchen! The children wasted no time in transforming them into bustling little eateries, whipping up imaginative school dinners in the mud. From mud pies to vegetable soups the culinary creativity has been incredible. This hands-on play not only encourages imaginative thinking but also reinforces the importance of cooperation as they share tools and ideas.
As we continue to explore the outdoors across the year groups, we are excited for more adventures and discoveries in the coming weeks. Thank you for your support in encouraging our children’s love for nature and play. We look forward to sharing more stories from our Forest School journey!
