The statutory consultation on the proposed reduction in Published Admission Number (PAN) for St. Oswald’s Church of England Primary School for the 2027/2028 academic year has now concluded. As no objections have been raised, the Governing Body have approved the reduction. The approved Policy is available on the Policies page of our website.
Should there be a rise in birth rates and a shortage of school places in the planning area in the future, the Governing Body and the Local Authority will look creatively at what solutions are available to accommodate any increase in need.
The Governing Body believe that reducing the PAN at St. Oswald’s will provide stability for the school’s long-term planning and allow it to continue to deliver high quality educational outcomes for the pupils currently on roll. The reduction in PAN will ensure that an appropriate number of places are provided for future pupils, in line with forecasts.
